Debbie Ross-Ocariz is an associate attorney at Orshan, Spann & Fernandez-Mesa bringing over 10 years of legal knowledge and experience to our family and matrimonial law practice. This experience includes complex divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, post-judgment modifications, and adoptions. She also advises LGBTQ+ families with the legal aspects of their path toward parenthood – whether through assisted reproduction or adoption.
Ms. Ross-Ocariz understands the sensitive and personal nature of the issues in each family and matrimonial law case. This understanding allows her to develop strategies that best advocate for her client’s best interests, while providing guidance through an unfamiliar legal landscape.
Ms. Ross-Ocariz earned her juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad Law Center, and she holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. She has been named to the Super Lawyers list in the area of Family Law and has received other awards in recognition of her professionalism and advocacy. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and the Florida First Family Law Inn of Court. In addition, Ms. Ross-Ocariz frequently participates in charitable and community service events throughout South Florida.
In her free time, Ms. Ross-Ocariz enjoys travelling with her family, exploring different types of music, and cheering for the Florida Gators.
